Dear Trinitarians,

ree

For over thirty years, Trinity Church has shared a significant relationship with Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. Since 1993, this partnership has been expressed through the biennial Episcopal House building project. This summer, we break ground on Episcopal House XVI in a joint effort between Episcopal churches in the Asheville area deanery. Participating in this build is an excellent opportunity to live into each dimension of Trinity’s mission—explore faith, embrace community, and make a difference. In so doing, we affirm Christ’s insistence on the dignity of all human beings.

Beginning on August 12th, volunteers will have an opportunity to help build a new home from the ground up and give someone in our community the gift of homeownership. Construction is scheduled to last for ten weeks, and volunteers with all levels of ability are encouraged to participate. A typical volunteer day lasts from 8:15 until 3:00, with fifteen-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon as well a thirty-minute break for lunch.

This year, Trinity is using an online sign-up process to volunteer for this build. Please click the link below for the online signup form. You will still be able to sign up on a physical sheet at the church on Sunday morning if that is easier for you. We will then transfer that information to this online form. If you have questions about volunteering, please don’t hesitate to reach me at mike@trinityasheville.org.

In gratitude,

Mike+
