Introducing Our Senior Acolytes

This year, two remarkable young women, Rosemary “Rosie” Peterson and Olympia “Oly” Vassallo, are stepping up together as our co-Senior Acolytes.

Rosie and Oly will share the responsibility of leading our acolyte team this year, mentoring the younger acolytes, and helping our services run with the reverence and care our congregation has come to expect.

Please give them a big congratulations the next time you see them at church!

Rosie Peterson

Hi! My name is Rosemary Peterson, and I’m a senior at Asheville High School. I am a member of the National Art Honors Society and founder of the AHS photography club. In my free time, I love playing music, creating art, and being in nature with friends. Acolyting has taught me so many valuable skills — respect, self-control, and te

amwork — as well as ingraining me in an incredible community that I’m so happy to be a part of.

Oly Vassallo

My name is Olympia Vassallo, I am a senior at Asheville High School. I am on the Varsity Field Hockey team, and in National Honors Society. In my free time I like to hang out with my family and friends. I also enjoy going on walks and runs. I have been an acolyte at Trinity for 9 years, it has been a privilege for me to be able to serve my church, and form great relationships with Debbie and the other acolytes at Trinity.
