This month marks the second anniversary of Trinity member Randy Siegel's Facebook page/group, “In the Belly of the Whale.” The group is now 900-plus members strong. It provides support, encouragement, and inspiration for those “in the belly of the whale,” or experiencing what many refer to as “life quakes.”

Life quakes are those times that shake us to the core and invite us to transform our lives. Examples include accidents, illness, accidents, divorce, financial reverses, and death. All of us experience them. Many of us, faced with the uncertainty in our country and the world, feel we're facing one now.

When faced with a life quake we have two choices. The first is to deny, or wallpaper, over the pain. The other is to be present to the circumstance, ourselves, others, and the Divine. By being present, we open ourselves to the gifts of deeper personhood, purpose, and peace.

In almost every instance, a life quake is an invitation to become our most authentic, highest self and to come into union, reunion, and communion with the Creator and all of creation.

If you’ve not already joined us, we’d love to have you on board. You must be on Facebook. Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/inthebellyofthewhale. Simply press “join.”

Join us as we discover that “calm, abiding place” within.
