Today we went to church together as a family. All four of us. We went to Sunday School, had coffee, and attended the service. William was an acolyte and carried the gospel book perfectly even though he admitted later the congregation made him nervous.

Elizabeth drew pictures on my service booklet, was fidgety and said things that embarrassed me (like “yay, good job!” When Fr.Scott broke the bread.) I helped with the acolytes. Jason missed half of the sermon because he had to go to the bathroom. It was the most normal thing we’ve done in over a year. It made my heart so happy.

It was a great Mother’s Day. For all you moms out there, I hope that you got exactly what you needed.
