On Saturday, May 3, members of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew from Trinity Episcopal Church spent a meaningful and productive day at Lake Logan for their first official service project.

The team: Paul Hatfield, Fred Fairhead, Van Joffrion, David Pheil, Kirk Simons, Don Cole, Ted Ostrander, Dowling Owen, and Board Director Jeff Imes—tackled a variety of tasks, including scraping, painting, splitting logs, and building a picnic table from the ground up. Starting with basic 2x8s and a lot of teamwork, they transformed raw materials into a sturdy and well-crafted picnic table. As one member put it, “IKEA would be jealous.”
The group also took time to enjoy a shared lunch and fellowship, celebrating both the work accomplished and the joy of being together in service.
This first project marked an exciting beginning for the Brotherhood’s hands-on ministry, and the group looks forward to more opportunities to serve in the future.
