Trinity Vestry Nominations

Each year Trinity’s Nominating Committee, which consists of the Senior Class of Trinity Church’s Vestry, meets to consider names, holds conversations with potential nominees and prepares a slate of candidates to be approved at the Annual Parish Meeting in November. This year, those serving on the Nominating Committee are Binford Jennings (Junior Warden), Kary Deuel, Jeanne Powell, Connie Wilson, and Brad Wilson (Senior Warden).

To serve on the Vestry, the nominee must be:

  • a baptized and confirmed member of the Episcopal Church

  • over the age of 18 years of age

  • been a member of the parish for twelve months

  • Been an active, pledging member of the parish for at least twelve months before the election

It cannot stressed enough the importance of the parish’s role in not only providing names for the Nominating Committee to consider but also being open to serving on the Vestry. I acknowledge that you might be thinking “I would like to do that, but I am too _____ (fill in the blank)”. Many have thought the same, however, not only did they discover that They had time to serve but have found that serving on the Vestry has been one of the most spiritually fulfilling opportunities one might experience. You are encouraged to be thinking of name(s) to submit, but also to consider submitting your name for consideration. We do ask that if you self-nominate, please provide the Nominating Committee with the name of a parish sponsor.

The Nominations Committee will begin accepting names on May 31, 2021. To submit a name for consideration complete the form below. If you have problems seeing the form here you may reach it HERE.
