This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Can you believe that we are 18 months into this pandemic? We can say with about 100% confidence that we all are saying to ourselves, “Yes, and I am ready for it to be over.” We are also 100% certain that all of us, during this pandemic, can relate to at least one of the stories of the bible that depicts situations of joy (Israelites’ exodus from Egypt), frustration (Israelites wandering 40 years in the desert), to sheer loneliness (St. Paul’s life during his imprisonment in Rome). Yet these stories reassure us that God is: 1) always with us, 2) always guiding us, and 3) lifting us when we fall short. We pray that we will all have gratitude for these gifts we have received for all these things.

Our parish has received so many blessings over the past 18 months. We are blessed, from being able to gather (both virtually and in-person), to celebrating the Holy Eucharist, to the abundant giving during last year’s stewardship campaign. Last year, Trinitarians heeded the call and gave of their treasure. This year, while we find ourselves in a slightly better position financially, we continue to come up short in terms of income from our parking lot and building usage, which accounts for $45,000 of this year’s budget. In prior years, we were earning $70K+ from the parking lot alone. Since the pandemic is showing no signs of slowing down, we expect those losses to continue. Therefore, as leaders of your Vestry, we ask that you join us in expressing your continual gratitude by making a financial pledge to Trinity Church for 2022.

As in years past, our Stewardship team will offer an electronic “pre-campaign” to all parishioners, just before our house-to-house campaign begins in October.  During this “pre-campaign,” every parishioner will have the opportunity to make their 2022 pledge online. Those who submit their commitment online will not be included in the house-to-house campaign come October.

If you have a financial pledge history with Trinity for 2021, you will find your confidential, personalized financial information enclosed (confidentially prepared and sealed by Dillon Manly, our Financial Assistant). We hope this information is helpful to you in your prayerful consideration of pledging for 2022.

We will begin our “pre-campaign” on September 15, lasting through September 30. On September 14, you will receive, via email, a note from a fellow member with a link to an online pledge form. Please know that your privacy is of the utmost concern, and your response through the online form is confidential and will go directly to Dillon Manly.

By participating in our stewardship campaign, you will ensure Trinity’s continued legacy as a place where we explore faith, embrace community, and make a difference.

In Christ,
