This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to pave the way for Trinity’s Annual Stewardship Campaign. Gratitude for all the ways we have remained connected through this incredible ordeal has led us to title this campaign, Gratitude: Yesterday, Today, and Forever.

First, please know that once again our Stewardship Team is encouraging everyone to participate in this year’s campaign through an electronic format as we continue to deal with COVID restrictions. We are hosting a “pre-campaign” in September that will allow you to make your pledge online before our full campaign begins in October. When you participate early, in September, you will not receive any further requests or reminders in October. Participating early, electronically, will ensure a safe and secure interaction for all during this time of safety concerns.

Last year the members of Trinity Church remained faithful and strong in their financial support of our life and mission. The Wardens, Vestry, and I thank you for your faithfulness. How we wish we were entirely on the other side of any pandemic restrictions. For a time, we will continue to experience some who are unable to attend in-person and some level of reduced activity from other sources of income.

We know that challenging times come with financial challenges for some. Yet, we also have the responsibility to be fully transparent and honest about our economic life for 2022. We never expected COVID restrictions to last this long. We never expected financial uncertainty to continue in this way.

It remains vital for us all to maintain our financial faithfulness and for those who can to increase giving. We are overflowing with gratitude for how we have stayed connected, and we so desperately want to continue in this way. We are fulfilling our mission even with changing circumstances. We are meeting in-person and online for worship, formation, fellowship, and outreach.

We have hope. We know that God’s dream for us is to lead the way in our church, in our families, in our city, and beyond with the truth that even in the deepest valleys of life, God is present, walking with us, lifting us up and sometimes carrying us into a new day. We believe that God is at work building a new creation.

Thank you for all you do, not merely for Trinity Church but even more for God in your daily walk of life. Many blessings to you and yours.

By Grace,
