Weddings at Trinity
We are delighted that you are considering a wedding at Trinity Church. Our sacred space in the heart of downtown Asheville has been the setting for wedding ceremonies for over 100 years. Trinity is a beautiful way to ask God's blessing on your marriage.
Either the Bride or the Groom must be an active, baptized member of the Parish, or the son or daughter of an active member of the Parish (as described in the documents below). However, non-members of Trinity, associated with an Episcopal Church elsewhere, are welcome to hold their wedding at Trinity and should inquire with the Rector. Weddings at Trinity adhere to the service found in the Book of Common Prayer and are conducted by the clergy of Trinity church, though other clergy can be invited to participate. Those who reside out of town are required to seek marriage counseling from a local Episcopal clergy person or a certified counselor who will provide a report to the clergy of Trinity Church.
Trinity church is not rented out for weddings by other congregations and/or clergy. However, Trinity can assist smaller Episcopal churches in the Diocese of Western North Carolina by hosting the ceremony at Trinity. Please contact the rector for further information.
Weddings are not scheduled around the holidays of Thanksgiving, Christmas (including the 12 days of Christmas), Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, or the Fourth of July. Weddings are not scheduled during Lent. Six o’clock in the evening is the latest time for the start of a Wedding.

Customary for Weddings Agreement Signature - Please sign this document and return to the church once you have read the Customary and understand and accept the policies.
Declaration of Intent to Marry - This form must be printed and then signed by the bride and groom, and then returned to Trinity along with the Customary Agreement
