Lenten Wednesday Evening Programs - 5:30 - 6:15
     followed by Dinner - 6:15 - 7:00

February 29 through March 28th

During Lent this year, we will offer Wednesday evening worship experiences in the weeks between Ash Wednesday and Holy Week.  These will include Evening Prayer, Vespers, the Order for Evening, Compline and a Taize service.

These beautiful and reflective prayer services will provide opportunities for stepping out of the hectic rush of the day and into the calming presence of God, helping us find peace and calm as the day draws to a close.  We hope you will join us to enjoy the peaceful and holy presence of the Lord and find that serenity which will help support and enrich your life during the Lenten season.

Lenten Dinners:
$5/person with a $20/family cap
Even if you are unable to attend the 5:30 program, please come to dinner.  Please RSVP for each dinner at the Parish Volunteer desk or by emailing Mary at mary@trinityasheville.org .

Children & Youth Program for Lent
"The Abundant Life Garden Project"

At 5:30, during the Evening program, children and youth will meet in the Undercroft.  (There will be Nursery care available for ages 3 and under.)

We will be using a curriculum called, "The Abundant Life Garden Project", a resource based on the work and mission statement of Episcopal Relief and Development.  The goal of the program is for chilodren to become more aware of the overwhelming needs of others in the world, link those need to stories in the Bible and work towards addressing the needs of the world, both as individuals and in the community.  The project is divided into five segments:  Water, Soil, Seeds, Animals and Harvest.  We will focus on one segment each Wednesday.

Along with Debbie Cox and Beth Chestnut, we will have several parishioners who have expertise in these fields working on each segment.  The curriculum is designed to be very "hands-on".  Our Youth will act as shepherds for the children, guiding them through the activities.
